I confess:
I am a DIY self-taught web coder, as a photographer I needed a website to show my work online,
but I was unsatisfied by WYSIWYG applications and premade website templates.
Willing to have full control of my online photo galleries I learned HTML and CSS and built my website.
Then, to improve esthetic and usability I researched and used the best tools created by others.
I wish to thank and give credit to the authors of:
Shadowbox.js
"Using Shadowbox, website authors can showcase a wide assortment of media
in all major browsers without navigating users away from the linking page"
by Mickael I. J. Jackson
Openzoom
"Part of my passion for OpenZoom is the promotion of the beauty
of large photos on the web and giving people the right tools to publish them"
by Daniel Gasieniga
Vertical Scrolling Menu
"After creating a horizontal scrolling menu, I received a lot of responses from people who wanted vertical version of the same menu.
So here it is"
by Andrew Valums
Thanks to their tools I am able to show in my website zoomable images powered by Openzoom in photo galleries
created with Shadowbox.js and to access them using a nice visual scrolling menu,
all in the limited space of a web page.
